Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute Amendment No. 3 to the Professional Services Agreement with Black and Veatch Corporation for the preparation of the Utilities Water Master Plan and the Infrastructure Management Plan to include ongoing specialized work required by the Water Utility. (City Wide ADs)
Body
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has retained Black and Veatch Corporation of Kansas City, Missouri to complete an update of the Utility's Water Master Plan and to prepare a Facilities Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, Black and Veatch Inc. have specialized advanced expertise and knowledge of the Madison Water System in the areas of computerized modeling for system analysis and evaluation, and
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has the need for additional specialized services in relation to providing updated information to system customers that reflect current operating conditions, and;
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility desires to complete these analyses in a timely manner, and;
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has negotiated a scope of services and developed a budget for two defined task orders and will further negotiate a scope of services and budget if additional work is required to meet Utility objectives.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute Amendment No. 3 to the Professional Services Agreement with Black and Veatch Corporation not to exceed $59,700 for additional services.
Fiscal Note
Amendment No. 3 to the Professional Services Agreement will not exceed $59,700. Funds for this work are included in the approved 2009 Water Utility Operating Budget Acct: EW01-54901-640000.
