Title
Accepting the recommendations contained in the Downtown Madison Hotel Feasibility Study prepared by Hunden Strategic Partners and dissolving the Downtown Hotel Feasibility Study Committee.
Body
WHEREAS, the Downtown Hotel Feasibility Study Committee was created to seek proposals for a downtown hotel feasibility study and recommend the consultant for the study (RES-08-00350, ID 09649, adopted 4-8-2008); and
WHEREAS, Hunden Strategic Partners was selected to conduct a market study on behalf of the City analyzing the demand for hotel space, growth potential within the hospitality/convention hotel industry and site identification of a downtown hotel (RES-08-00765, ID 11314, adopted 8-5-2008); and
WHEREAS, Hunden Strategic Partners has completed the Downtown Madison Hotel Feasibility Study; and
WHEREAS, the Downtown Hotel Feasibility Study Committee members, at a meeting held on January 13, 2009, approved adoption of the Study;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Downtown Madison Hotel Feasibility Study, as submitted by Hunden Strategic Partners, be accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, with the adoption of this Resolution, the Downtown Hotel Feasibility Study Committee is hereby dissolved.
