SUBSTITUTE - Authorizing the property at 4811 Voges Road in the Village of McFarland, to connect to the City of Madison sanitary sewerage system.

PREAMBLE
Section 35.02 (4)(b) of the Madison General Ordinances provides that the Common Council may grant permission for properties outside the City of Madison to connect to the City's Sewer System. The Village of McFarland, on behalf of the property owner at 4811 Voges Road requests such permission. The Village can provide sewer service only be pumping, whereas the City has nearby gravity sewer that can serve the property. Connecting the property to City sewer shall be done at no cost to the City. The property shall become a customer of the Sewer Utility generating additional revenue for a nominal cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the property at 4811 Voges Road in the Village of McFarland, is hereby authorized to connect to the City of Madison sanitary sewerage system, subject to the following:
1. Conformance to the rules and regulations of the Board of Public Works, the City of Madison Standard Street and Sewer Specifications and General Conditions and subject to the ordinances passed by the Common Council, and
2. That the applicable sewer district assessments or charges, the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District charges, and sewer lateral charges have been defrayed or the method of payment provided for.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Village of McFarland to collect outstanding sewer charges on the property tax in the event the property owner is in arrears, all in accordance with State Statutes. Agreement by the owner of the property to pay for the costs of sewerage disposal costs incurred by the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District to the local governmental body.
