Approving the Mayor and Clerk to execute a contract for the MMRS-Medical Communications Interoperability Plan with L. Robert Kimball & Associates, Inc.
Body
The City sent out RFP-7959-0-2008/MM requesting proposals for a Medical Communications Interoperability Plan for the Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS). The FY06 grant provides funding for this project. The parties involved in the project are the medical providers and agencies that are responsible for medical response. It is recommended that the contract be awarded to L. Robert Kimball & Associates, Inc.
The contractor will assess current communications capacities and make recommendations on enhancing medical communications interoperability for medical providers. Identified providers are emergency medical responders, hospitals, clinics, public health and other such medical providers.
WHEREAS, funding is approved in the MMRS FY06 grant and budgeted in account SG49-54950-722110-00-0000000-00000000-72231006.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council approve the contract with L. Robert Kimball & Associates, Inc. for $57,787 for a medical communications interoperabilty assessment and plan.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute this contract.
