Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute Amendment No. 1 to the contract between Madison and HNTB Corporation for additional design engineering services for CTH S and Junction Road/CTH M. (9th AD)

PREAMBLE:
The City is proposing to reconstruct the intersection of Mineral Point Road (CTH S) and Junction Road/CTH M in 2011/2012. The consultant's services will include traffic modeling of current and future traffic volumes, the completion of preliminary plans and the Environmental Assessment. The project concept includes the potential for a new grade separated intersection at Mineral Point Road (CTH S) and Junction Road/CTH M. The City Engineer has entered into a design engineering contract with HNTB Corporation.
The City Engineer recommends that additional design services be undertaken HNTB Corporation. They are:
1. Extend environmental assessment approximately 1000' south on CTH M.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 to the contract between Madison and HNTB Corporation for additional design engineering services for CTH S and Junction Road/CTH M.
