Sunsetting the Platinum Biking City Planning Committee and thanking its members, staff and supporters for their work.
Body
WHEREAS, the Mayor appointed the Platinum Biking City Planning Committee on September 21, 2006 with the overall goals of achieving Platinum level through the League of American Bicyclists’ Bicycle Friendly Communities program, and to put forward a roadmap, or bike path, for Madison to become the best city in the country for bicycling; and

WHEREAS, the Platinum Biking City Planning Committee guided the preparation of the report with input from bicyclists and other interested stakeholders; and

WHEREAS, the Common Council adopted the Platinum Biking City Planning Committee’s final report “Making Madison the Best Place in the Country to Bicycle” on April 11, 2008;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the Common Council thank the members of the Platinum Committee for their work and dedication to this project
