Title
Accepting ownership of the artwork "1-2-3 Go!" by Melanie Kehoss, located on the fence at Cypress Spray Park.
Body
WHEREAS the Madison Arts Commission's mission is to fund artistic activities and initiate cultural programs that integrate, support, and advance arts and culture as an essential part of life in Madison; and
WHEREAS the Common Council adopted Resolution number 08-00039, ID number 08219 on January 9, 2008 accepting the design and implementation of a Public Art work, not to exceed $10,000 for the exterior of the fence at Cypress Spray park; and
WHEREAS one of the conditions of the contract requires that upon completion of the sculpture and other documentation being submitted by the artist, that the City of Madison will accept ownership of the sculpture; and
WHEREAS the sculpture has been completed and the required documentation has been filed with the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Madison hereby accepts ownership of "1-2-3 Go!"
