Approving the schedule of Common Council meeting dates and times for 2009.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council Organizational Committee (CCOC) has reviewed the Common Council meeting dates at their meeting on September 2, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, the following Common Council meeting dates have been approved, all meetings start at 6:30 p.m:
January 6, 2009 February 3, 2009
January 20, 2009 February 24, 2009
March 3, 2009 April 21, 2009
March 17, 2009 (*Also meet at 12 noon on April 21, 2009 for swearing in of new Council)
March 31, 2009
May 5, 2009 June 2, 2009
May 19, 2009 June 16, 2009
July 7, 2009 August 4, 2009
July 21, 2009
September 1, 2009 October 6, 2009
September 15, 2009 October 20, 2009
November 3, 2009 December 1, 2009
November 17, 2009
WHEREAS, the Common Council Organizational Committee is continuing discussion on the budget meeting dates for 2009 and November 5 through November 12, 2009 have been identified as potential meeting dates and will be finalized at a future CCOC meeting,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council approves the above schedule of Common Council meeting dates and times for 2009. (Note: full schedule is attached to legislative file)
