Title

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Engberg Anderson, Inc. to provide professional architectural and engineering design services for interior improvements at South Madison Library located on South Park Street. (14^th AD)

Body

WHEREAS the 2008 Capital Budget includes $2,350,000 in funding to design and construct the South Madison Library, and an Architect consultant must be hired to design this project; and,

WHEREAS the total contract compensation for architectural and engineering services for Engberg Anderson, Inc is $154,000 which includes basic design and LEED documentation, and,

WHEREAS Engberg Anderson, Inc. located at 1 North Pinckney Street, Madison, Wisconsin, has been selected through the "Request for Qualifications" process and the "Final Interview" process, and it is the final selected candidate in accordance with Section 3.61 of the Madison General Ordinance, and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Engberg Anderson, Inc. to provide professional architectural and engineering services for the interior improvements at South Madison Library located on South Park Street.

Fiscal Note

Funds are available in the Library 2008 Capital Budget.  

Estimated cost is $154,000.00.  Funds are available in Acct. No. CB18-58011-810530.
