Fiscal Note
The proposed salary is $95,000 annually, plus benefits. The 2008 Adopted Budget of the Community Development Division includes salary funding of $57,569 (pro-rated, based on an anticipated start date of June 1, 2008), plus benefits, so sufficient funding is available in the 2008 budget. The 2009 budget will include the full, annualized salary (and benefits) to support the Director position.

Submitting the name of William R. Clingan for confirmation of a five-year term as Community Development Division Director.
Body
Whereas, Mayor Cieslewicz has appointed William R. Clingan to the position of Community Development Division Director and has recommended to the Common Council that his appointment be confirmed; and
Whereas, the parties have reached an accord on the terms and conditions of an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. Clingan;
Now, therefore, be it resolved that Mr. Clingan's appointment to the position of Community Development Division Director is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. Clingan.
