Terminating the Declaration of Public Works Emergency per Section 62.15(1b) of the Wis. Stats. for boiler replacement at Sycamore Streets-East, 4602 Sycamore Ave. (17th AD)
Body
WHEREAS, during the preventive maintenance inspection in the summer of 2007, it was noted that the refractory around the mud drum was cracked and crumbled, so Facilities Management (FM) called PBBS, a distributor for Cleaver Brooks to get opinion and quote. WHEREAS, on January 20, 2008, FM was called in after hours and the system was reset with no apparent reason for failure; and

WHEREAS, on January 23, 2008, FM purchased and installed new UV sensor and checked transformer; and

FM made arrangements with H&H to do the installation; and

WHEREAS, a Public Works Emergency, per Wis. Stat. Section 62.15 (1b) was declared to replace the boiler at Street - East.

WHEREAS, on January 30,2008, the removal of the old boiler was completed and the new boiler arrived on site and was put in the best location (to make room for a second boiler installation). H&H began installation, took measurement for new welded header and remove old header. ...
