Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute Amendment No. 2 to the contract between City of Madison and Ayres Associates Inc for CTH M - Valley View Road - Pleasant View Intersection and Pleasant View Road from Prairie Hill Road to CTH S for additional design services.

PREAMBLE:
The City is proposing to construct a new street between the intersection of CTH M and Valley View Road and the intersection of existing Pleasant View Road and Mineral Point Road (CTH S). Design will be funded with 100% local funds and that portion of the project near the intersection of Valley View Road and CTH M will be funded with 80% federal funds, 20% local funds. Construction of the new street north to Mineral Point Road (CTH S) will be funded with 100% local funds. The City Engineer has entered into a design engineering contract with Owen Ayres & Associates, Inc.
Due to a request by the Federal Highway Administration, additional design services are required to expand environmental documentation throughout the Pleasant View Road Corridor. The documentation is beyond what was anticipated in the contract.
BE IT RESOLVED,
That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 2 to the contract between City of Madison and Ayres Associates Inc for CTH M - Valley View Road - Pleasant View Intersection and Pleasant View Road from Prairie Hill Road to CTH S for additional design services
