Body
A grant application has been submitted to the Federal Emergency Managment Agency, DHS for the 2008 Assistance to Firefighters Grant.  The project cost is $324,500, with the federal grant funding  $259,600 and the City funding $64,900.  The City share of this grant if awarded is 20 per cent of the the total project cost.  This project covers equipment and associated expenditures that will be included in both the 2009 Capital and Operating Budget requests of the Madison Fire Department.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City accept the 2008 Firefighters Assistance grant if awarded.
 
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, City Clerk and other necessary City officials are authorized to execute necessary documents upon award.
