Approving plans for the restoration of State Street in accordance with the East Campus Utility Permit to Excavate in the Right of Way.  (8th AD)
Body
WHEREAS, the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System ("University of Wisconsin"), shall be installing a utility tunnel within the right of way in East Campus Mall from University Avenue to Langdon Street under a Permit to Excavate in the Right of Way, and;
 
 
WHEREAS, the reconstruction of the 700 & 800 blocks of State Street are likely to occur in the next several years, and;
 
WHEREAS, staff from Parks, Traffic Engineering and City Engineering have reviewed the current amenities and recommend certain changes that may result in the same operational efficiencies and a saving to the University of Wisconsin, and;
 
WHEREAS, The University of Wisconsin shall need to disturb the State Street right of way at the north end of East Campus Mall and shall restore State Street in accordance with plans and specification that are incorporated in their approved Permit to Excavate in the Right of Way.
 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
 
1.      That the plans and specifications for the public improvements necessary for the restoration of State Street shall be approved as part of the approval process for the East Campus Mall Permit to Excavate in the Right of Way.
