The salary, benefits and relocation costs related to this contract will be paid from Water Utility resources. The total 2008 costs are less than amount allocated for the Water Utility General Manager position in the 2008 Operating Budget.

Submitting the name of Tom Heikkinen for confirmation of a five-year term as Water Utility General Manager.
Body
Whereas, Mayor Cieslewicz has appointed Tom Heikkinen to the position of Water Utility General Manager and has recommended to the Common Council that his appointment be confirmed; and
Whereas, the parties have reached an accord on the terms and conditions of an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. Heikkinen;
Now, therefore, be it resolved that Mr. Heikkinen's appointment to the position of Water Utility General Manager is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. Heikkinen
