Expressing thanks and appreciation to Helen Dietzler, Records Clerk and Director of Election Equipment Testing, for 11 years of service in the City Clerk's Office.
Body
WHEREAS, Helen Dietzler has provided the City of Madison with 11 years of exceptional service in the Clerk's Office; and
WHEREAS, Helen has routed and filed over 12,000 city contracts during that time frame; and
WHEREAS, Helen has posted well over 10,000 agendas for city committees, commissions, and boards to ensure compliance with the Open Meetings Law; and
WHEREAS, Helen has moved over 375,000 pounds of election equipment since 1997; and
WHEREAS, Helen has conducted so much election equipment testing that she has completely worn out her key to the ballot box; and
WHEREAS, Helen has driven over 600 miles each election while delivering election equipment and troubleshooting on Election Day; and
WHEREAS, Helen has accepted a position in the Community Development Office; and
WHEREAS, Helen's cheerfulness and expertise will be greatly missed in the Clerk's Office;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council express thanks and appreciation to Helen Dietzler for her hard work and dedication to public service in the City of Madison.
