Acceptance of the Isman Grant of up to $5,000 for the Fire Department hazardous materials response team to attend a national conference.

The Fire Department has been awarded the Warren E. Isman Educational Grant . This grant is administered by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Fire Safety Educational Memorial Fund. The $5,000 award provides funding that will allow the Fire Department to send up to three members of our hazardous materials team to a national hazardous materials response conference. The grant is to cover registration, travel expenses and offset the cost of any needed replacement personnel.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approves acceptance of the Isman Grant awarded by the National Fire Protection Association Fire Safety Educational Memorial Fund to send up to three hazardous materials members to a national conference.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk, and Mayor are authorized to execute any necessary documents.
