PREAMBLE

The reconstruction of East Washington Avenue between Blair Street and East Springs Drive is divided into 6 phases. The fifth phase of construction is referred to as Segment 4 and consists of East Washington Avenue at STH 30 and STH 30 / Aberg Avenue from the interchange at East Washington Avenue to just east of Fair Oaks Avenue. The work also includes replacing the pavement on Fair Oaks Avenue under STH 30 and the ramps near Fair Oaks Avenue to and from STH 30. The Construction of Segment 4 is planned for 2009.

Madison General Ordinance section 24.08(3) provides the Common Council the ability to allow construction activities outside of the hours of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. with the passage of a resolution and a hearing before the Board of Public Works. The proposed activities beyond the hours of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM are as follows:

1. The sawing of concrete pavement. The timing of this activity is dependent on the rate at which the concrete cures. Sawing will be allowed at any time however the Contractor should avoid the hours of 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM when poss...
