Fiscal Note
Under terms of the employment agreement, the Treasurer's initial salary will be based upon an annualized rate of $90,983. The 2008 Adopted Operating Budget provided for a salary of $85,241. As a result of salary savings accrued in the early part of 2008, sufficient resources are available within the 2008 Treasurer's Office Operating Budget to cover the new salary rate. No additional appropriation is required.

Submitting the name of David Gawenda for confirmation of a five-year term as City Treasurer.

Whereas, Mayor Cieslewicz has appointed David Gawenda to the position of City Treasurer and has recommended to the Common Council that his appointment be confirmed; and
Whereas, the parties have reached an accord on the terms and conditions of an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. Gawenda;
Now, therefore, be it resolved that Mr. Gawenda's appointment to the position of City Treasurer is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. Gawenda.
