Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Timothy Bruer was elected by his peers to the office of President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council on April 17, 2007 for the term of 2007-2008; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Bruer met weekly with Mayor Cieslewicz and Common Council President Mike Verveer to discuss city issues; and,
WHEREAS, during his term as Common Council President Pro Tem, Alderperson Timothy Bruer served as vice-chair of the Common Council Organizational Committee, served on the Board of Estimates, Community Development Authority, Community Development Block Grant Commission; and,
WHEREAS, throughout his tenure he served as a leader with great enthusiasm and dedication (particularly as the Council’s “Cruise Director”);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and members of the Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Timothy Bruer for his conscientious service during his tenure as President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council.
