PREAMBLE
This contract will repair concrete joints on E. Washington Avenue and Northport Drive. The repairs are needed as the joints have deteriorated such that normal maintenance (pothole filling) is not cost effective.
The concrete joint repair will maintain the streets until they are reconstructed which is scheduled for 2011.
NOW THERFOR BE IT RESOLVED that the plans and specifications for Concrete Pavement Joint Repair be and are hereby approved:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise for and receive bids for the required public works contract.
