Title
A resolution authorizing the Purchasing Agent to issue a Purchase Order/Contract to ATEC Systems Associates, Inc. for Contract No. 101512 , Procurement of Pressure Filtration Equipment for the Madison Water Utility. (17th AD).
Body
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has prepared bid specifications and vendor qualification requirements and issued Request for Bid 7887-0-2007/SK, and
WHEREAS, Purchasing Services of the Office of the Comptroller, City of Madison has advertised the request for bid between the dates of November 14, 2007 and January 11, 2008, and
WHEREAS, The City of Madison received four bids, three of which were deemed to be qualified and responsive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the low bid in the amount of $301,000 for Procurement of Pressure Filtration Equipment, startup, and training be accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with ATEC Systems Associates, Inc. of Longview, Washington, subject to the Vendor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions:
BE FINALLY RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the filtration equipment as defined in the contract documents.
