The proposed grant provides for $13,500 in funding. The required City matching funds of $1,500 are available in the 2008 Traffic Engineering operating budget. Revenues and expenditures are included in the 2008 Traffic Engineering adopted 2008 operating budget.

Accepting grant monies in the amount of $13,500.00 from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the installation of all-way stop control and minor intersection modifications at the intersection of Segoe Road & Tokay Boulevard.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Traffic Engineering Division deemed it necessary and appropriate to install all-way stop control at the intersection of Segoe Rd. and Tokay Blvd. to reduce crashes at the intersection; and
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation administers the Small Local Highway Safety Improvement Program and has approved for the City of Madison the amount of $15,000, of which $13,500 of State grant monies will be matched by $1,500 of City funds, to Install all-way stop control and modify the median;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Traffic Engineering Division be authorized to accept grant monies in the amount of $13,500 from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the installation of all-way stop control and minor intersection modifications at the intersection of Segoe Rd. and Tokay Blvd.
