Transferring a Water Utility parcel of land to City Engineering.
Body
The Water Utility has declared the parcel of unimproved land located at 3402 North Sherman Avenue (the "Property") surplus to its needs. The Property is located on the corner of North Sherman Avenue and Northport Drive. Per Section 8.075 of the Madison General Ordinances, Enactment No. Ord-07-00130, I.D. No. 07140, the Water Utility is exempt from the surplus property procedure. The Water Utility and City Engineering have determined that the Property should be retained for future Right of Way purposes.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby approves the transfer the Property located at 3402 North Sherman Avenue from the Water Utility to City Engineering, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby finds that the Property is not necessary to or useful in the continuing operation of the Utility.
