Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to amend an agreement with Owen Ayres & Associates, Inc. for design engineering services for CTH M/Valley View Road Intersection and Pleasant View Road from Prairie Hill Road to CTH S. (9th AD)

PREAMBLE:
The City is proposing to construct a new street between the intersection of CTH M and Valley View Road and the intersection of existing Pleasant View Road and Mineral Point Road (CTH S). Design will be funded with 100% local funds and that portion of the project near the intersection of Valley View Road and CTH M will be funded with 80% federal funds, 20% local funds. Construction of the new street north to Mineral Point Road (CTH S) will be funded with 100% local funds. The City Engineer has entered into a design engineering contract with Owen Ayres & Associates, Inc.
The City Engineer recommends that several additional design services be undertaken by Owen Ayres & Associates, Inc. They are:
1. Optimization and final design of two roundabouts
2. Additional survey
3. Plan preparation for Valley View Road
4. A second underpass design
5. Traffic Management Plan preparation
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to amend an agreement with Owen Ayres & Associates, Inc. for design engineering services for CTH M/Valley View Road Intersection and Pleasant View Road from Prairie Hill Road to CTH S.
