This resolution amends the 2007 Capital Budget for Pinney Branch Improvements by an increase of $33,000. Funding is from the Friends of Pinney Branch Library gift. No general obligation borrowing is required, and there is no impact on the tax levy.

Amending the Library's 2007 Capital Budget by $33,000 to accommodate increased costs for the Pinney Branch Improvements project.
Body
WHEREAS, the Pinney Branch of the Madison Public Library required improvements to the general building interior; and
WHEREAS, $89,400 was authorized in the 2006 Capital Budget but most of the expenditures for this project were delayed until 2007; and
WHEREAS, costs for this project have increased, primarily due to a need for new shelving and a new service desk; and
WHEREAS, the Friends of the Pinney Branch Library have made a gift to the Library to cover these increased costs;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Library's 2007 Capital Budget be amended by an increase of $33,000 to support costs for the Pinney Branch Improvements project, funded with a gift from the Friends of the Pinney Branch Library.
