PREAMBLE

The City has an annual rebate program funded thru the Sidewalk Program that reimburses a portion of the cost to repair public sidewalk.  The purpose of the rebate was to encourage property owners to have their sidewalk repaired when deemed necessary by both the City and the property owner.

Over the last several years, property owners have been reimbursed $2.00 per square foot for repairs.  In order to reflect increased costs for construction the rate should be adjusted to $2.50 per square foot.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the sidewalk repair reimbursement rate be increased from $2.00 per square foot to $2.50 per square foot.
