Title

Approving an agreement with St. Mary's Hospital to provide storage for the pharmaceutical stockpile purchased by the Fire Department from Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) funds.

Body

The Fire Department has purchased pharmaceuticals as approved by the Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) Steering Committee to stockpile for use during incidents of terrorism and/or weapons of mass destruction.  The City does not possess proper storage facilities for these pharmaceuticals.

 

St. Mary's Hospital has agreed to store these pharmaceuticals for the City and make them available to the City on 24 hour access basis. St. Mary's Hospital will also ensure that antibiotic  stock is rotated to the extent that is practical.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council approves this agreement with St. Mary's Medical Hospital , and

 

BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Mayor , City Clerk and other designated City officials are approved to execute this agreement.
