The proposed Agreement with Montgomery Associates Resource Solutions LLC for field sampling, groundwater modeling, data analysis and report generation on the feasibility and viability of a well at Larkin Street will not exceed $31,200. Funds for this project are included in the 2007 Water Utility Capital Budget. Acct No. ew01-58286-810517
Title
Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Montgomery Associates Resource Solutions LLC for the field sampling, groundwater modeling, data analysis and report generation on the feasibility and viability of a well at Larkin Street (11th AD).
Body
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has identified a need for an additional west side municipal well to meet current and future water demands and water quality needs within the Utility's approved Master Plan; and

WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has evaluated and selected the existing Utility property at the current high service reservoir site on Larkin Street for the proposed well; and

WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has drilled and developed a test well at the Larkin Street site; and
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility is committed to finding and developing a long term high quality source of drinking water; and

WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has worked with Montgomery Associates Resource Solutions LLC to develop protocol and sampling procedures for evaluating well sites; and

WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has received and evaluated a requested proposal from Montgomery Associates Resource Solutions LLC to apply these evaluation criteria to the Larkin Street test well to analyze, sample, and evaluate the feasibility and viability of a high quality drinking water sources located at the Larkin Street property.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute a Professional Services Agreement not to exceed $31,200 with Montgomery Associates Resource Solutions LLC for field samplin...
