The stormwater utility shall fund the costs associated with this agreement with funds authorized under the Park Street Relief Storm Sewer Project Acct. No. ESTM-58270-810381-00-53W0445. Estimated cost for this portion of the project is $100,000.00.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an intermunicipal agreement with the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) for reconstruction of the Pump Station #2 Force Main as required to allow construction of the Park Street Relief Storm Sewer. (13th AD)
Body
WHEREAS, the City has authorized construction of the Park Street Relief Storm Sewer; and
WHEREAS, the construction of this project will be facilitated by lowering of the existing MMSD Pump Station #2 force main at the proposed crossing with the new storm sewer on West Shore Drive; and
WHEREAS, Section 66.0301, Wisconsin Statutes, authorizes cities, villages, towns, counties and other public agencies to enter into agreements for the receipt and furnishing of services; and
WHEREAS, MMSD has agreed to allow the lowering of their force main at the expense of the City of Madison; and
WHEREAS, lowering the force main is in the best interest of the City of Madison and facilitates the construction of the Park Street Relief Storm Sewer; and
WHEREAS, all work is to take place on lands governed or controlled by the City of Madison.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into an Intermunicipal Agreement with the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District to reconstruct the Pump Station #2 Force Main in conjunction with the Park Street Relief Storm Sewer project.
