Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Austin King was elected on April 1, 2003 to represent the 8th District; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Austin King served on the Common Council Organizational Committee, Community Development Block Grant Commission, Board of Estimates, Downtown Coordinating Committee, Housing Committee, Joint Southeast Campus Area Committee, Pedestrian/Bicycle/Motor Vehicle Commission, Public Safety Review Board, Regent Street-South Campus Master Plan Steering Committee, State Street Design Project Oversight Committee and the Vending Oversight Committee; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Austin King served as Common Council President for the 2006-2007 term; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Austin King is most proud of working on the passage to raise the city's minimum wage, repealing the city's cabaret license, the "Justice for Patty" resolution, the Tenant's Right to Repair and Deduct ordinance and introducing the Healthy Families, Healthy City ordinance; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Austin King through his hard work and dedication to his aldermanic duties has faithfully and with honor served his constituents and the City of Madison,
 
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Austin King for his dedicated service to his constituents and the City of Madison and wish him well in all his future endeavors.
