Commending Alderperson Judy Olson for her dedicated service to her constituents and the City of Madison from April 18, 1995 to April 17, 2007.
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Judy Olson was elected on April 4, 1995 to represent the 6th District; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Judy Olson served on the: Alcohol License Review Committee, East Washington Avenue Design Oversight Committee, East Washington/Capitol Gateway BUILD Steering Committee, Board of Estimates, Board of Estimates Subcommittee on TIF, Board of Health for Madison and Dane County, Dane County Regional Plan Commission, East Rail Corridor Plan Advisory Committee, Environmental Action Team, Garver Feed Mill RFP Committee, Intercity Rail Task Force, Landmarks Commission, Living Wage Task Force, Madison Metropolitan Planning Organization, Monona Terrace Hotel Task Force, Noise Abatement Task Force, North Mendota Parkway Committee, Pedestrian/Bicycle/Motor Vehicle Commission, Regent/Park Expanded TID 26 Affordable Set-Aside Committee, Schenk-Atwood Business District Master Plan Committee, Senior Citizen Advisory Commission, Streetcar Study Committee, Sustainable Design & Energy Committee, TIF Joint Review Board, TIF Review Board, Williamson Street BUILD I & II, Yahara River Parkway Plan Committee and the Goose “Poop” Subcommittee; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Judy Olson served as Common Council President for 1999-2000 term; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Judy Olson is most proud of working on the completion of several neighborhood plans which helped guide development in the 6th District, chairing the Living Wage Task Force which resulted in the passage of the city's Living Wage ordinance, assisting in the completion of the city's Climate Protection Plan and sponsoring the city's Stationary Noise ordinance; and,
