Report of CCOC Sister Cities Grant Review Subcommittee - 2007 Final Report & Recommendations for 2007 Sister City Grant Program.

The Common Council Organizational Committee appointed three members to the CCOC Sister Cities Grant Review Subcommittee for the 2007 grant process, Ald. Lauren Cnare, Ald. Tim Bruer and Ald. Paul Van Rooy on December 5, 2006. The subcommittee was charged with the conducting the annual grant review and recommending funding for City of Madison Sister Cities.
The subcommittee met on February 12, 2007 to review the applications and make funding recommendations. Linda Lewis of the Mayor's Office provided the mailing and receipt assistance for the program. The approved forms and materials were mailed to the established sister cities December 21, 2006 with a receipt deadline of February 5, 2007.
Eight (8) Sister Cities Annual Base Level Reports and applications were received for the competitive grant portion of the program (see attachment entitled, "Summary of Submittals and Final Recommendations 2007"). There are currently ten (10) sister city agreements in place. Bac Giang, Viet Nam and Cusco, Peru did not apply for annual funding or the grant funds.
