Revenues and expenditures of $33,326 will be added to the 2007 Public Health Operating Budget. There is no anticipated impact upon the tax levy.

Title

Accepting funds from Dane County for a 0.5 FTE Public Health Nurse, increasing position authority by 0.5 FTE, and amending the 2007 Operating Budget to add the revenues and expenditures.

Body

WHEREAS the Dane County Division of Public Health is merging with the Madison Department of Public Health, with final merger on January 1, 2008, and

WHEREAS the Dane County Division of Public Health has a 0.5 FTE Public Health Nurse that has been vacant, and

WHEREAS the Dane County Board of Supervisors has agreed to transfer funding of a 0.5 FTE public health nurse position so that it may be combined with other Public Health Nurse vacancies,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Madison Department of Public Health be authorized to accept $33,301 from Dane County for a 0.5 FTE Public Health Nurse, and

BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED that the position authority for Public Health Nurses with the Madison Department of Public Health be increased by 0.5 FTE, and

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the 2007 Operating Budget for the City of Madison Department of Health be amended by the following amounts:

GN01-73352-445000 Dane County Reimbursement ($33,301)

GN01-51110-445000 Permanent Salaries           $24,201

GN01-51200-445000 Benefits                        $  9,100
