Body
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company ("MG&E") is upgrading its electric system located along Bridge Road, adjacent to Paunack Park, as part of the reconstruction of the Bridge Road and the Yahara River bridge structure; and

WHEREAS, as part of the upgrade, MG&E has to replace an existing electric line facility; and

WHEREAS, the undergrounding of such facilities will avoid costly relocation in the future and improve service to the neighboring properties along Bridge Road; and

WHEREAS, in order to underground its facilities in this location, MG&E has requested a ten (10) foot wide underground electric line easement ("Easement") across a portion of Paunack Park; and

WHEREAS, the City Parks Division has reviewed and approve of the Easement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Utility Easement with Madison Gas and Electric Company for the Easement described as follows:

A strip of land, ten (10) feet in width, located in part of the SW ? of Section 20, Town 7 North, Range 10 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, said easement strip being more particularly described as follows:

Commencing at the most Northerly corner of Outlot 1, Certified Survey Map No. 971, Document No. 1344847, in Volume 4, page 225-230 of Certified Surveys as recorded in the Dane County Register of Deed Office; thence S16°43'19"E along the Northeasterly line of said Outlot 1, 281 feet to the point of beginning; thence S70°48'34"E, 37 feet, more or less, to the Southwesterly line of Outlot 2 of said Certified Survey Map No. 971 and the point of termination.
