Title: That the (0.5 FTE) position of Pool Manager in the permanent salary detail of the Municipal Pool Budget and (0.5 FTE) position of Parks Safety Coordinator (no Compensation Group or Range specified for either) in the permanent salary detail of the Parks Division budget are repealed and recreated as a (1.0 FTE) position of Pool Manager in Compensation Group 18, Range 07, in the Municipal Pool budget.

Fiscal Note
Funding is available in the 2007 Adopted Operating Budget. This resolution would increase the Pool Manager position in the Municipal Pool Budget from 0.5 FTE to 1.0 FTE, and offset this action by deletion of a 0.5 Parks Safety Coordinator in the Parks Division. The full-time Pool Manager would work at the pool during the pool season, and would perform other work in Parks during the pool off season. Approximately six months worth of the salary and benefits of the Pool Manager would therefore be charged to the pool during any given year, with the remaining six months of salary and benefits charged to the Parks Division for off season work in Parks. (This sharing of duties and costs would be somewhat similar to the sharing of Greenskeepers work and costs between the Golf Enterprise and Parks Division over the course of a year.) Appropriate levels of funding are currently available in both the Municipal Pool and Parks Division 2007 Operating Budgets. A budget-neutral technical adjustment would be made to the permanent salary detail of both agencies. No additional appropriation is required. There is no anticipated impact upon cost controls.
