Fiscal Note

This amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with Earth Tech Inc. increases funding by $60,284 to $108,884.  Funds for this project are included in the 2006 Water Utility Operations Budget.  Acct:  EW01/54901-640000.

Title

Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute an amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with Earth Tech Inc. for the addition of the preparation of Wellhead Protection Plans for Water Utility Unit Wells 6, 12, 18 and 24 (City Wide).

Body

WHEREAS Madison Water Utility wishes to protect our valuable groundwater resource by developing wellhead protection plans for Wells 6, 12, 18 and 24; and WHEREAS Madison Water Utility has budgeted funds in its 2006 Budget for the preparation of wellhead protection plans; and WHEREAS Madison Water Utility has contracted with Earth Tech Inc. of Stevens Point, Wisconsin to complete the several wellhead protection plans for Wells 6, 12, 18 and 24; and WHEREAS Madison Water Utility has negotiated an amendment to the Professional Services Agreement and Scope of Services with Earth Tech Inc.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute an amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with Earth Tech Inc. not to exceed $60,284 for the preparation of wellhead protection plans for Utility Wells No. 6, 12, 18 and 24.
