Fiscal Note
This fee is expected to generate approximately $40,000 of revenue in 2007.  Revenues of this amount have been included in the 2007 Streets Division Executive Operating Budget.  Community Gardens are to be exempt from the fee (see page 110, highlight #7).

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS:  This ordinance creates a fee for delivery of wood chips that previously had been provided without charge.  It is to recover staff and fuel costs of the deliveries.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
 
Section 10.27 entitled "Fee for Delivery of Wood Chips" of the Madison General Ordinances is created to read as follows:
 
"10.27      FEE FOR DELIVERY OF WOOD CHIPS.  Except for community gardens in the City of Madison, any person who receives a delivery of wood chips from the City of Madison shall pay a fee of one hundred dollars ($100) to the City Treasurer."
