WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin has awarded a Traffic Signing and Marking Enhancement (TSME) Grant to provide epoxy pavement markings which are restricted to roadways within and adjacent to census blocks in the City of Madison with concentrations of persons over age 55; and
WHEREAS, the State requires the City to provide $15,000 as a 25 percent match to the $45,000 State grant making the total funds available for the TSME epoxy project $60,000; and
WHEREAS, the acceptance of this grant has been authorized by the Mayor and Common Council and the total grant-related funding has been budgeted in the Traffic Engineering Division's 2007 capital budget request;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute Amendment #1 to the existing contract with Brickline, Inc. to provide additional $45,488.46 in general epoxy marking and another $60,000 in grant related epoxy markings ($105,488.46 total contract increase).
