Body
WHEREAS the total contract compensation fee for architectural and engineering design services to Potter Lawson Architects is $119,215.00, and,

WHEREAS the 2006 Capital Budget includes an estimated portion in the amount of approximately $156,000 for architectural and engineering consultant design services, an Architect consultant must be hired to design this project; and,

WHEREAS the scope of this project is the development and preparation of architectural and engineering design, plans and specifications, preparation of bid documents, assistance in the bid process and construction administration for the design and construction to remodel existing tenant space in the City-County Building. Professional design services shall include architectural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical engineering, interior design, fire protection, and other disciplines as required, and,

WHEREAS the tenant remodel areas shall include offices and reception spaces for Information Services 5th floor, Department of Civil Rights 5th floor, Municipal Court 2nd floor, Parks Division 1st floor, and Police Department ground floor, and,

WHEREAS Potter Lawson Architects has been selected on June 9, 2006 through the "Request for Qualifications" process and the "Final Interview" process, and is the final selected candidate in accordance with Section 3.61 of the Madison General Ordinance, and,

WHEREAS the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to sign a contract with Potter Lawson Architects for the above described services, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney; and,
