Fiscal Note
Funds for this program are contained in the Streets Division's 2006 Capital Budget.  Funding for all 2006 Sealcoating Program activities totals $212,500, and may be found in Project #3, CL63-58260-810408, on page 275 of the Capital Budget.  No appropriation is required.

Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to enter into a contract with Dane County for the seal coating of unimproved streets.
Body
Whereas, the City of Madison has unimproved streets that require layers of seal coat material to be applied on a regular basis in order to preserve the streets, and
 
Whereas, the Streets Division is responsible for this regular maintenance using funds in it's Capital Budget, and
 
Whereas, Dane County has provided this service under contract with the City of Madison and has provided high quality work at reasonable cost,
 
Now Therefore Be It Resolved that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to contract with Dane County for the provision of seal coating service for the 2006 season.
