Title
To authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an Agreement with Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Wisconsin to provide soft drink and vending services at the Irwin and Robert Goodman Community Pool and all of the City of Madison Parks operations under the management of the Parks Division except Olbrich Botanical Gardens, Warner Park Community Recreation Center, and the Monona, Glenway, Odana Hills and Yahara Hills Golf Courses, further excepting any non-city entity reserving any city park for one year beginning in June 2006 and may be extended for up to three (3) additional one-year periods.
Body
WHEREAS, the purpose of this Resolution is to correct the contract dates that were previously and inaccurately set forth in Resolution # 02885, which was adopted by the Madison Common Council on February 21, 2006. This Resolution is identical with Resolution #02885 with the exception of the contract dates; and
WHEREAS, Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Wisconsin (Coca-Cola) was the successful bidder through our City Purchasing Department following a competitive bidding process to choose a vendor for soft drink and vending services, and
WHEREAS, the contract will be in effect for one year beginning in June 2006, and may be extended for up to three (3) additional one-year periods through May 31, 2010. Coca-Cola will provide all necessary equipment and services in addition to fees in the sum of $42,500 over the term of the contract; and
WHEREAS, Coca-Cola will also provide promotional materials in 150 store in the Madison area for four (4) months, between May 1 and August 31, 2006, targeting working adults and families to allow purchasers of 2-liter bottles of Coke products to receive a free daily swim pass to the pool.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to sign and execute an agreement with Coca Cola Bottling Company of Wisconsin, in a form approved by the Risk Manager and the...
