Authorizing the Metro Transit General Manger to execute consignment agreements with various retail, employer and other establishments that wish to become official Metro Sales or Commuter Choice Outlets and maintain on-site inventories of Metro fare media for the purpose of sale to the public/employees or providing to employees as a work benefit.
Body
WHEREAS, Metro Transit wishes to have its fare media sold in various retail, employment and other business establishments and such establishments are interested in the sales generation potential of an outlet from the sale of fare media and the commission to be received; and

Whereas, Metro wishes to lend on a consignment basis, fare media to be sold at retail cost or provided to employers for use pursuant to the Commuter Choice Benefit; and

WHEREAS, Metro will invoice all retail and employment establishments for all fare media sold providing a 1% commission to those establishments that offer all Metro fare options to the general public which will be deducted from the monthly invoice amount; and

WHEREAS, Metro will require the establishment to accept full responsibility for the security of fare media and agree to make Metro Transit whole for any shortages of fare media not returned or otherwise accounted for whether arising as the result of theft, robbery, mismanagement or for any other reason; and

WHEREAS, Metro will require the establishment to be responsible for all costs of carrying consignment fare media including, but not limited to, storage and handling, once the fare media have been delivered to their business premises; and
