Congratulating Mary Brockert on her retirement after 27 years with the City of Madison.
Body
WHEREAS, Mary Brockert retires from employment with the City of Madison on May 12, 2006, completing 27 years of dedicated service; and
WHEREAS, Mary began her career with the Mayor's Office and after 2 days that position was eliminated and Mary was hired in her current position with the Human Resources Department; and
WHEREAS, we shall greatly miss Mary's unfailing kindness, cheerfulness, and helpfulness to her fellow employees and also to the many people who have come in contact with her as Clerk Typist in the Human Resources Department; and
WHEREAS, Mary is going into retirement to conquer new challenges laid upon her and to grow the most beautiful flower garden in the whole of Madison;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council recognize and congratulate Mary Brockert on her retirement from 27 years of work for the City of Madison.
