Fiscal Note
This is an extension of a previous agreement and provides for the reimbursement by Edgewood College of all fixed route and ADA paratransit trips provided by Metro Transit to Edgewood College students and employees during the contracts term. Fixed Route trips shall be reimbursed at the rate of $.88 per trip, consistent with the current TPC-approved fare tariff. There would be no net fiscal impact on the City General Fund or on the transit utility operating budget.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Edgewood College for the continuation of provision of Edgewood College-paid access by its students and employees to Metro Transit fixed route and ADA paratransit services, with reimbursement to the transit utility for student and employee trips for the period August 28, 2006 through May 18, 2007.

WHEREAS Edgewood College and Metro Transit wish to continue an Unlimited Ride Pass Program for Edgewood College students and employees based on principles approved by the Madison Transit and Parking Commission for such agreements;
NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement with Edgewood College for the purpose of providing an Edgewood College Unlimited Ride Pass Program for the period of August 28, 2006 through May 18, 2007, with reimbursement by Edgewood College for all trips taken during the term of the agreement.
