Fiscal Note
This is an extension of a previous agreement and provides for the reimbursement by MATC of all fixed route and ADA paratransit trips provided by Metro Transit to MATC students during the contract term. Fixed route trips shall be reimbursed at the rate of $.88 per trip, consistent with the current TPC-approved fare tariff. There would be no net fiscal impact on the City General fund or on the transit utility operating budget.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Madison Area Technical College (MATC) for the continuation of provision of MATC-paid access by its students to Metro Transit fixed route and ADA paratransit services, with reimbursement to the transit utility for student trips for the period August 20, 2006 through August 18, 2007.
Body
WHEREAS, MATC and Metro Transit wish to continue an Unlimited Ride Pass Program for MATC students based on principles approved by the Madison Transit and Parking Commission for such agreements;
NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement with MATC for the purpose of providing an MATC Unlimited Ride Pass Program for the period of August 20, 2006 through August 18, 2007, with reimbursement by MATC for all trips taken during the term of the agreement.
