Commending, honoring and expressing appreciation to Sandra J. Turner upon her retirement from the City of Madison after more than 36 years of exemplary service to the City of Madison and its citizens.
Body
WHEREAS, Sandra J. Turner is retiring from the City of Madison, Office of the City Clerk, on February 10, 2006; and
 
WHEREAS, Sandy began work with the City of Madison on August 17, 1970 as an hourly Administrative Clerk I; and
 
WHEREAS, on August 26, 1977, Sandy accepted permanent full time employment and has held various positions within the City Clerk's Office; and
 
WHEREAS, Sandy has worked diligently on City of Madison elections and was responsible for mailing out and receiving thousands of absentee ballots over the years; and
 
WHEREAS, Sandy's sense of duty and responsibility and her continued desire to provide outstanding service to the customers of the City Clerk's Office have earned the respect and friendship of all who were brought in contact with her; and
 
WHEREAS, her fellow employees recognize her as a dedicated public servant and friend and wish her a long, healthy and prosperous retirement as she rides into the sunset on her Harley motorcycle.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Madison hereby recognize and commend Sandra J. Turner for her loyal and dedicated service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be suitably printed and forwarded to Sandy as an expression of gratitude.
