The City bills the applicable ambulance conveyance fee for runs associated with this program. In 2004, Dane County allocated $50,000 for disbursement to the ALS providers participating in the pilot project; Madison received $13,200. No other funding has been received or is anticipated from Dane County for participating in the ALS Program.

Body
Resolution 61583 approved the delivery of emergency medical services by the Fire Department using the medical priority dispatching system. This delivery system was part of a pilot program with other ALS Units in Dane County. The closest available provider responded without regard to jurisdictional boundaries.
All ALS providers have agreed to continue participation in this program for the delivery of emergency medical services. The term of this program commences upon the day following the execution of this contract and shall continue in force and effect from year to year thereafter until December 31, 2007,unless any party provides 90 calendar days of notice of intent to terminate the agreement effective December 31, of the current year.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City approve participation by the Fire Department in the Advanced Life Support (ALS) Program with other ALS Units in Dane County.
BE IT STILL FURHTER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and other City Officials are authorized to execute the Intergovernmental Agreement for the Advanced Life Support Program.
