Account No. EW01-58011-810459.  The proposed Professional Services Agreement with (the Consultant to be selected 12/15/05) for the preparation of contract drawings and specifications and for construction administration services for the 6.0 million gallon Felland Road Reservoir will not exceed $180,000.  Funds for this project are included in the 2005 Water Utility Capital Budget.

Body
    WHEREAS Madison Water Utility needs a water storage reservoir on the east side of the Utility's main pressure zone and purchased 3.4 acres of property in 1999 for this facility off of Felland Road; and
    WHEREAS Madison Water Utility wishes to construct a new 6.0 million gallon reservoir on the Felland Road site to provide additional emergency reserve water storage and fire flow storage and stabilize pressures on the east side; and
    WHEREAS Madison Water Utility has budgeted funds in their 2005 Capital Budget to design a new facility for construction during 2006-2007; and
    WHEREAS Madison Water Utility has advertised for consultant services, received and evaluated proposals, and negotiated a Professional Services Agreement;
    NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute a Professional Services Agreement not to exceed $180,000 with Clark Dietz Inc of Kenosha, Wisconsin for site planning, facility design, preparation of drawings and specifications, bidding services and construction administration for Madison Water Utility Felland Road Reservoir.
