Funding for food and beverages is contained in the 2006 Parks Operating Budget. There is no anticipated impact upon cost controls or the tax levy.

Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute an Agreement with The White Horse Inn, Inc. d/b/a White Horse Inn, as operator of exclusive alcohol beverage services at Warner Park Community Recreation Center and Olbrich Botanical Gardens from January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2006.
Body
WHEREAS, The White Horse Inn, Inc. has successfully been providing exclusive alcohol beverage service to Warner Park Community Recreation Center ("WPCRC") since 1999 and to Olbrich Botanical Gardens ("Olbrich") since 1998, as a result of a competitive bidding process; and
WHEREAS, the City is entering into a competitive bid process for alcohol beverage service at WPCRC and Olbrich, with the successful bidder providing alcohol beverage service beginning January 1, 2007; and
WHEREAS, WPCRC and Olbrich have contractually committed to social events at their facilities through December 2006, which necessitates continuing White Horse Inn's alcohol beverage service during the competitive bid process; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to allow events that are already booked for the 2006 calendar year at WPCRC and Olbrich to offer alcohol beverage service without interruption during the competitive bid process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute an Agreement with The White Horse Inn, Inc., d/b/a White Horse Inn, for exclusive alcohol beverage service at WPCRC and Olbrich, from January 1, 2006 through December 1, 2006, while the City completes the competitive bid process for an alcohol service provider at those locations beginning January 1, 2007.
